Viewing at the Lithuanian Film Studio

Viewing at the Lithuanian Film Studio

Filmmakers were unable to view the filmed material right away, as is the case with the modern digital format. Instead, the results of the filming and sections of film print were screened during interim viewings with the film crew and representatives of the Lithuanian Film Studio and other local institutions and, sometimes, even representatives from Moscow. In this picture Arūnas Žebriūnas is the first on the right and the composer Viačeslavas Ganelinas is the second on the left. The biggest problem was spoilage, as Soviet film prints were low-quality, so it was often necessary to reshoot some scenes.
